Future versions of SAP solutions on HP 9000 servers running HP-UX after 2008

На днях пришло из SAP вот такое оповещение о судьбе RISC серверов от HP:
We would like to inform you of several important changes taking place in 2009. As a result of HP's long term strategic direction and transition towards the HP Integrity platform (denoted by HP-UX IA64 in SAP PAM), we will only be making SAP product releases for HP-UX available on the HP Integrity platform starting in 2009. This is in our accordance with HP and fits in with their long term HP-UX strategy.

With its proven performance, overall cost savings and strong Itanium roadmap, transitioning to HP Integrity servers is the natural choice for SAP customers currently running HP-UX. HP will continue to support customers running on the HP 9000 (denoted by HP-UX PA-RISC in PAM) platform until at least 2013, however, will stop selling HP 9000 systems from January 1st 2009 onwards.
